FREEZIE x RAZOR (maybe)

Going home April 11/12 weekend

I will start out by saying we are doing some DNA testing here to confirm parentage and a few suspicions I have.

Freezie was exposed to two stud dogs. Razor and Conway. She was supposed to breed with Conway but he had an injury and was not interested in breeding any time I had them together. I did walk away for short periods of time so he "could" have bred her. Seeing merles means he may have, but both Freezie and Conway are red factored so I would have thought with 9 puppies at least 1 would be red. It is 100% possible not to get red, but not likely. So back to Razor. He is not expected to be red factored which means I only get black based from him. BUT he looks like a Tri so if he and Freezie are both genetically Tri coloured I'd only get Tri's. The merles say that is impossible. So I am suspecting that Razor (or maybe Freezie) are not as Tri colour as they look on the outside and on a genetic level they may indeed be merle.

We also got 3 natural bob tails which I have not gotten in a long time. So it was a huge shock. I brought Bob tails in with Token many years ago and he is a great grand parent to both Freezie and Razor which could be enough genetic stacking to express it and give me three bob tails. Clutch who is now neutered was a bob tail and he also had Token on both sides of his pedigree which leads me to believe more and more that these are Razor babies and someone is not as Tri as they look.

So genetic testing has been ordered to confirm parentage and we'll see what it says in 6-8 weeks when it comes back.

NO ONE is promised an individual puppy. If you want a "blue merle female", they have to make it to 8 weeks, be healthy, and you have to be a good fit for their needs. You will not know which puppy you get until very literally the day before pick up or at pick up.

I am planning to keep back a blue merle male. (may change is Razor is a blue in disguise but for not that is the plan). I do not choose which puppy I am keeping until the very last minute and if I have any doubts I may hold back more than one. NO ONE gets pick above me. Sorry.

These puppies are all docked and dew claws removed.

Will be CKC registered once we confirm parentage and do paperwork.

Freezie has a TON of working ability. She should have a field with sheep or cattle to work. I don't do her justice. She is also very velcro, will climb any fence to get to me, but does not suffer any separation anxiety in the house. She is crazy smart. Very independent in her own way, while she must be with me she is not a cuddly dog, she will say hi and then is on the floor. None of her background was overly cuddly, they were all more working style of wanting to be with you and please you, will do anything at all for you, but not on your lap. These will make amazing working dogs with brains and work ethic for days, in anything you want to train them to do!
